New Forum theme Preview

please give me feedback on this. Im starting to work quite a bit on PF 2.0. Also im taking feature requests for 2.0.

Here is a list of issues that are already getting worked on

The picture posting BBCode will be fixed

Audio blog posts and podcast support

New logo

So if you have ever though hmm poker faction is great but damn it would be cool if..... now is the time to mention it.

Oh and i forgot getting rid of the flash buttons. That is a big one because it slows down page load's quite a bit and also in IE7 it blocks flash kinda which means people need to click them then click again.

also fix the blog writer thingy in IE

Wow, those are much, much better. The new forum theme is awesome, much more forumish, which is good.

The new site theme is also much better. Makes the website look more like, well, a website. Didn't someone say that the site looked like a blog back when you asked on the DreamHost forums and whatnot?

Anyway, I like it. I'd mess around with colour scheme a little though if possible.

yeah its early beta. color is gonna change. What i love is that we would just have a theme that would be uniform. Anyway. things to look forward to in the not so distant to the very distant future :-D. Im not making any promises as to when it will be done because i want pokerfaction 2.0 to be about way more than just a new theme.

Real logo, new theme, bug fixes and new features are what im going for. I might wait for the drupal 6.0 move. drupal 6.0 is coming soon but before all the modules we use get ported to 6.0 it might be like 5-6 months. I want to change the theme before then. i remember when i made poker faction i went with 5.0 right when it came out. It was hard because a lot of the modules and themes werent 5.0 compatible yet. Id say PF 2.0 will probably be out before the move to drupal 6.0

I think the new theme looks much better, and more professional.

Things I would love to see:

A better home page for users with more information about them, what they like, etc.

PMs (Private messages) from users to users.

In the video section, a search function that gives the user a chance to have a list of very specific videos (cash games, HU, Pot Limit Omaha, the one who made the video, etc) Obviously this will be useful when we have more videos. Would look like a box at the top, and you can specify what you want in drop down lists, and click search.

That's about all I can think for now.

Probably but im not 100% sure. we need to figure it out before we get the logo designed though. All very good points marco.

I can modify the user pages but i need ideas of stuff you guys want me to add. let me know.

I had originaly wanted to put user to user messaging on pokerfaction but the modules that did that fonctionality were all very buggy when we started the site. Im sad to say not much has changed. I might test one of the beta ones but for something like messaging id rather not take a chance. So this might get removed of the scope of the PF 2.0 project.

Im gonna have a seperate site running the beta for pokerfaction 2.0. This should be up next week. So im gonna need everyone to go test it for bugs and recomending changes to the theme.

Anyone that has an account on PF should have one on the beta. the information in the beta site dates back a week and anything posted on the beta site will not be applied on the live site. Forums were added for bug reports and feature requests/ theme discussion. please go check it out and play with it to help me catch bugs. Il post updates on what changes are made on the front page

The tinymce module has been updated which should fix the problems that certain users were having in IE with blog posts.
The tinymce module has been configured with less buttons. this makes it a lot les confussing to use.
