New "V" series first 8 minutes
I'm a big fan of the original miniseries. And I thought the new V would be like 25 years later in the V timeline. I guess not, it's just a remake.
As for the first 8 minutes, I'm not sold yet. Looks kinda cheapish, the new mothership's design is CGI meh. And apparently Aliens would design a ship the bottom of which can be changed into a giant monitor. Old Diana was hotter. If they even call her Diana.(they better). You can't call her Jenny that would stink. They're going for the single mom thing early on and she's obviously FBI, ya. And the son is mommy's boy but also a motorcycle riding rebel? And there's obviously going to be a religion thing too since they make a point to introduce the priest right off the bat.
I don't know, it could still be pretty good if they manage to build a good underground resistance group. It'll be hard with no Michael Ironside, though.
I guess I'm disappointed because I didn't go like "whoa, I absolutely can't miss that".
Watched the first 2 episodes, and I'm not very impressed.
I think the special effects are pretty bad, which is understandable coming from a TV series. But I watched the original and it seems like those effects still beat the new shitty CGI. I think the new V ships look bad, I hate the monitor thing on the bottom. That's just stupid.
I don't like the priest character already, he seems like a dumbass whimp. And I don't like the whole 'struggling with his actions because of his moral/religious beliefs' thing. Shut the fuck up and kill me a lizard already.
I want a Michael Ironside type bad-ass. Maybe there's one coming but it's hard to say.
They have to start building the resistance and they have to start going underground soon. There has to be some action or else this show is going to be boooooring.
Where are the scientists? I understand wanting to go with the single-mom-FBI type for the lead, but one of the coolest thing about the original was the fact that the resistance had an unlikely leader, a young good looking med student. She might have been a brainy beauty, but she could still kick some serious lizard ass.
I hate the way they portrayed the FBI headquarter. It looks like a fucking police station.
I can see it coming. It's gonna suck.
Meh. After 4 episodes, I think it's fair to say that this show is incredibly lame. Waste of time.

I don't know about the old serie, so I guess it's a bit of an advantage since I won't be comparing
so far it looks interesting
