pf2.0: adding off the current CMS, or totally exporting everything to a new one?
I am very curious about Joomla! extensions. what are u folks planning to do?
Here's what I concider that could benifit to make the PokerFaction community grow bigger.
- Dynamic blog generation & handeling.
- Dynamic blog lists trimming. what about having a blog list that gets updated uppon who posts stuff onto their blog? as an example, a blog list sorted by who updated stuff the latest. automated trimming like this could make life simpler for admins, and the content of blog list gets always refreshed. idle blogs would simply be at the bottom of the list. and voila. this could prevent the need to delete blogs as well.
- Letting the blogs grow, and not deleting them when they are idle for a while. <--- always trimming down the number of users will never make this community bigger. it's a fact! i fully respect at the same time whatever the admins want to do with this website. this is just an observation.
- RSS feeds for the PF headline news
- and using other RSS feeds to keep the front-page updated with poker related news (sports channels, etc) <-- this could bring up some life to the frontpage.
- web chat, and private txt messaging <--- i've seen lots of example from Joomla! extensions.
- web poker game. <---- this could attract a whole lot of people. making the game free for people to use, it could invite more people to register, create their own blog, and play with the other folks part of the pokerfaction community.
kk i will start to learn php this year just for the sake that i need my own portfolio online.
i will check after the Drupal CMS.

we use drupal not joomla. there is private messaging in the 2.0 beta already. And i like your ideas for the blogs. it is going to require a lot of fixing because they are very poorly setup now.
honestly developement is on hold now but your brought up some really good points il look into if i ever decide to bring pf 2.0 back to life
