It`s been a while since I`ve been a beginner, and I`m not even sure what to recommend anymore. Back when I started, the standard was Super System for the uber noob. But now, I guess there`s probably better books out there that make more sense for the game dynamics of today. Or maybe not.

I gave her the phil Gordon
I gave her the phil Gordon books you gave me. She's already asking about stuff haha good thing
I read Harrington on Hold'em for tournaments, and at that time I thought it really helped my game. It's fairly basic, but like you said, very well explained.
thx man

Phil Gordon's 3 books, box set
if you wanna buy them separate, black is #1, green is #2, blue is #3, but black is really basic, if you already know about poker, you can skip it...
----------
Harrington books, 2 tournaments books, 2 cash games books...
only thing is that you kinda need to read the tournaments ones before reading the cash games ones... but they are so well written and easy to understand with good explanations...

all these books are available in french by the way
