Variance is high and that's kind of what I like about MTTs. There's still a lot of value in playing them if you don't mind taking on the variance. Once in while you'll hit that big score that'll make it all worth it.



I feel that the info in this article is reliable. Most of the games i have won first place or top 3 (at least 10 times online in MTT)wasnt because i played my best ever poker. Couple times, i ve been extremely lucky later in the tourney and sucked out. However, the same pattern happened in the other sense, when i was playing my best poker and other "lucky" players hit one or two outers against me. I admit that most of my best performances werent rewarded and normal ones have been.
The variance is at his peak in MTTs.
